Worst Case Scenario: Part II: Default to Despot

We're not the only ones that seem to be aware of the fact that the so-called 'debt ceiling' is nothing more than an elaborate hoax perpetrated on the people of the United States of America.  Sure, the United States Treasury could print more money, but that would lead to 'hyper-inflation' and, who wants that?  Or, we could just borrow and borrow and borrow and have our great-great-great grandchildren pay for it, or, as some would desire, let the whole of the economy crash like a house of cards.

Many financial analysts have predicted, with great accuracy, that the United States could not sustain the amount of debt it carried without someday crashing and burning.  In the book "The Coming Economic Earthquake" Larry Burkett said, "Perhaps the most significant economic change of the second half of the twentieth century was the discovery of instant prosperity (called credit) by millions of American families.  Since the Great Depression, most Americans had been weaned from the use of credit: some because of bitter memories, other because the bankers simply knew better than to lend money to people who could ill-afford it.  Credit was available during the fifties but was limited primarily to home mortgages and some short-term car loans.  During the sixties, loans for almost everything - from college tuition to television sets - burst onto the scene.  The federal government, after running budget surpluses during the Eisenhower administration, began its disastrous experiment with massive entitlement programs.  If the Kennedy era could be called "the space explosion," the Johnson era must be dubbed "the deficit explosion."
He goes on shortly after that and gives and example.  "In the early sixties, average-income families paid about 7 percent of their income in direct taxes.  They also spent 15 percent of their disposable income on interest payments (primarily home mortgages).  By 1969 they were paying 14 percent of their incomes in taxes and spending 22 percent on interest.  The amount were still manageable but growing faster than incomes."  It goes on and describes more about the economy in the 1970's and beyond.  ('The Coming Economic Earthquake" by Larry Burkett).

At what point do we just say, "ENOUGH!" and tell our elected officials we have 'had it' with their spending.  We don't have a 'debt ceiling' crisis as much as we have a complete and out of control SPENDING CRISIS by our elected officials on everything from $600 dollar toilet seats to $1000 dollar hammers.  It quite understandable that we have to pay for Medicaid/Medicare, the retirees, the disabled, and those types of people, but, it is also apparent that we must eliminate the very ones that are on Welfare and the like.  Why should we eliminate programs like that?  Because those are the very programs that foreigners and illegal aliens take advantage of when they come here.

Our identity as a nation relies on our ability to be able to not only help those in need but also our ability to pay for programs to help those in need.  The solutions are simple.  First, eliminate all programs that have doubled or triple, or sometimes quadrupled, in cost.  Second, demand that ALL of the elected officials get a Balanced Budget Amendment in the terms they have.  And, third, TERM LIMITS.  If those elected officials cannot come up with a balanced budget, not only do they NOT get paid, they also will NOT get any 'retirement' when they leave office.  There's more departments to cut and slash, making it much easier to 'streamline' all departments run more efficiently and effectively.  It's really simple; STOP THE SPENDING on NEEDLESS stuff.  Also, if two or more departments are doing the same thing, consolidate them, allowing for redundancy.  Two other ways to save and stop the spending.  A) Combine ALL MILITARY into one organization.  B) Combine ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT into one organization.  Who will oversee these organizations?  The State's Governors.  Does that sound too bold of a move, or Socialistic?  Well, regardless, something has to be done to not only get this country back to the principles we started with but to also free the people from the tyranny that this current administration has created.  We cannot be a despotic nation.

The enemy of the people is the State.  The people are the deciders in all this.  If the State cannot decide, or have decided, WE THE PEOPLE must, and will, decide to defend our liberties and freedoms from the tyrannical few that control the house of the people in the nations capital.  It is time to wake up, stand up and do what we must do.

  1. It's interesting they say that America may lose it's AAA credit rating next week, but I want to know why in the hell we even have an A rating at all. Right now, if I tried to go out and get credit, I would be turned down. I owe a few credit cards money, I have a few Hospital Bills, and I short-saled my duplex, and guess what? My credit score sucks. Seriously, what does America have? 1000's of underwater Homeowners, 1000's of Homeless and Hungry, 1000's in need of serious Medical care, 1000's without Jobs, 1000's making minimum wage, 1000's in Prison...actually those numbers should be more in the Millions, but seriously, we are in bad shape, so anyone looking at us as a Nation should be frowning on us. Who would ever want to have dealings with us? Makes absolutely no sense to me
